HC Bar delegation calls on CJ, projects issues

JAMMU, Jan 29: The members of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu led by President Nirmal Kotwal and accompanied by former Presidents called on Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan today to discuss and deliberate upon the issues being faced by them.
The former Bar Presidents who accompanied the team were D K Khajuria, A K Sawhney, V R Wazir, M K Bharadwaj, D S Saini, Sunil Sethi, Surinder Singh. Vice President Baldev Singh, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal were also in the delegation.
The delegation primarily discussed the issue of construction of multi-storey building to accommodate Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) and other Tribunals and registration work within the court complex.
The other demands included restoration of Vakalatnama charges, parking management, reference of demise of Advocates, establishment of medical dispensary in all the courts in Jammu Province, dedicated ambulance for court complex, extension of lawyers chambers and installing lift in the complex, installation of water plant at court complex, winter vacations in District Courts, single window system for certified copies in District Courts, social security schemes for advocates and extending time of AIR library in lawyers court complex.
The Chief Justice gave a patient hearing to the deputation, and assured that all the issues will be resolved at the earliest.
