JAMMU, Sept 3: High Court has rejected the bail application of Mohammad Sadiq, who was nabbed with heroin and Rs 5 lakh cash.
After hearing Advocate Monish Chopra for the applicant whereas Deputy AG AM Malik for the UT, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur observed, “the case diaries have been produced by the concerned police agency. Having gone through the same and considering the facts of the present case, which involves recovery of more than Rs 5 lakh along with the heroin from the applicant, it is difficult for this court to record a satisfaction that the applicant is not guilty of an offence under Section 27-A of the NDPS Act notwithstanding the fact that the quantity of heroin allegedly recovered from the applicant is stated to be small”.
Accordingly, High Court rejected the bail application.
