SRINAGAR, Aug 6: High Court today sought objection from SKIMS authorities within day’s time with regard to rejection order of transplanting the kidney of the ailing person who is on Hemo Dialysis.
Justice A M Magrey today directed the Director SKIMS to file his objections by tomorrow and ordered the listing of the matter in view of its urgency for final consideration on August 7.
Court also directed the SKIMS counsel to keep the records available which are pertaining to the case on hearing day.
“Since the petitioner is presently maintained by process of Heme-Dialysis and here improvement is only possible subject to transplantation, therefore, the case needs priority for disposal”, court said.
Petitioner Syed Arifa who is facing Chronic Kidney Disease and was advised to go for kidney transplantation approached the court that she was offered one kidney by her family friend free of cost in order to save her life but after fulfilling all the formalities with Authorization Committee, the committee on July 31 passed rejection order.
