JAMMU, May 25: In a petition filed by S S Wazir and others seeking CBI probe into the much publicized Satwari riots in which one person namely Jasjit Singh lost life, High Court today directed the Special Investigation Team to record the statements of witnesses through the concerned police station.
Justice BS Walia of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi appearing for the petitioners, Justice B S Walia also directed the Additional Advocate General to produce the record to show the dates for the preceding one year on which attempts were made to record the statements of witnesses and what action was taken in case of non-availability of concerned eye witnesses.
