JAMMU, Mar 28: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking establishment of eye-bank, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma today directed Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited to file status report regarding the procurement of equipment requisitioned for the eye-bank within four weeks.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, Senior AAG submitted that the status report stands filed placing on record various steps taken to ensure purchase of equipment for operationalization of eye-bank in the Government Medical College, Jammu.
After hearing Advocate Navneet Dubey for the PIL, DB also directed Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited to ensure that the needful is done expeditiously and without any delay.
