JAMMU, June 20 : The State High Court has directed the Transport Commissioner to implement his office order No. 57-MVD of 2016, with regard to registration of ambulances after obtaining NOC from Directorate of Health Services Jammu/ Srinagar and curb the misuse of ambulances in the State.
The order was passed by Justice M K Hanjura on the petition filed by Sukriti Choudhary and others. It was pleaded by the counsel for the petitioner that many ambulances were operating in violation of the order of Transport Commissioner and many of them have not obtained the mandatory NOC from the Directorate of Health Services Jammu/ Srinagar.
Taking serious note of the plea, the High Court directed the Transport Commissioner, J&K to strictly implement the Court orders till July 6, the next date of hearing.
