HC directs DC to conduct enquiry

JAMMU, May 21: High Court today directed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to conduct inquiry into the ReT selection case.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by one Kafaitullah, who has applied for the post of ReT teacher in Govt School Kangar. He submitted that he is the only candidate in the merit panel but respondents are not considering his representation.
After hearing Advocate M K Raina appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Ravinder Sharma for the State, Justice Tashi Rabstan disposed off the petition at the request of the both the parties with the direction to the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to conduct enquiry with regard to the private respondent’s claim for the post of ReT teacher.
High Court also directed DC Rajouri to enquiry as to whether Govt Order No 288-EDU of 2009 is applicable in the case and the selection is to be made on the basis of habitation.
The Court further directed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to complete enquiry within one month by providing opportunity to the parties and furnish the report to the CEO Rajouri who thereafter shall process the case under law.
