Srinagar, Apr 3: High Court today directed for consideration of medical claim of petitioner which he incurred during treatment of his disease outside the State.
Justice Sanjeev Kumar while quashing the communication of authorities whereby petitioner’s claim for reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by him were rejected, said the petitioner is entitled to the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by him in the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi for treatment of his disease.
Referring the Division Bench judgment, court allowed the petition of Mohammad Azam and quashed the communication dated 07.03.2015 with the direction to concerned authorities to consider his claim for medical reimbursement and take a decision in the matter in the light of the observations made by the court. “Let a decision in this regard be taken within a period of four weeks from the date certified copy of this order is made available to him”, Justice Kumar said.
