JAMMU, Sept 12: In a petition filed by Istkhar Ali Khan alleging misappropriation of huge funds meant for disbursement to draught hit farmers, High Court today directed the State Vigilance Organization to file status of the complaint.
In the petition, it has been alleged that Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and other officials were responsible for alleged misappropriation of Rs 1,64,84,000 sanctioned under SDRF for disbursement among the draught victims/ farmers of 2009.
After hearing Advocate AS Kotwal appearing for the petitioner, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to State and others with the direction to the Director SVO to file status of complaint of the petitioner.
