HC grants time in PIL against exorbitant airfare

JAMMU, Apr 9: In Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by former  President of Chamber  of Commerce and Industries Y V Sharma highlighting high airfare charged by airlines from Jammu to other destinations, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice BS Walia has granted two weeks time for filing objections.
Advocate Meenakshi Slathia appeared for the PIL whereas ASGI Sindu Sharma for the Union of India and Advocate Inderjeet Gupta for the Air companies.
