HC impleads CBI as respondent in former Tehsildar Bahu case

JAMMU, Aug 10: High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has impleaded Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as party respondent in a petition filed by the then Tehsildar Bahu Rohit Sharma, who was booked by Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Rohit Sharma filed two Miscellaneous Applications seeking call details and GPS locations of the members of the trap team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and impleadment of CBI as party respondent. In the Miscellaneous Application regarding call details and GPS locations, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul has sought objections from the respondents within three weeks while as in another Miscellaneous Application High Court has impleaded CBI as party respondent.
“Through the medium of this application, the petitioner is seeking impleadment of CBI as party respondent in this case on the ground that the investigation has been transferred to CBI after filing of the petition”, read the order.
“The application is allowed and CBI is directed to be impleaded as party respondent subject to just exceptions”, the order further read.
Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Parimoksh Seth appeared for the applicant/petitioner Rohit Sharma.
