JAMMU, May 9: In a petition filed by people of village Aul in Doda district seeking direction to the Government against shifting Sub-Centre, High Court today ordered status quo and issued notice to the Health Minister.
After hearing Advocate Farhan Mirza appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Health Minister, Bali Bhagat, Commissioner/ Secretary to Government Department of Health, Director, Health Services, Jammu, Chief Medical Officer, Doda and Block Medical Officer, Block Ghat.
“Subject to the objections from other side and till next date before the bench status-quo as on today with respect to shifting of the new Sub-Centre shall be maintained”, High Court directed.
Earlier, Advocate Farhan Mirza submitted that Health Minister during his recent visit at Doda has hinted at shifting the Sub-Centres sanctioned by the previous Governments and such a decision may be an outcome of political vendatta and may cause serious prejudice to the people / public at large who may be put to suffer and deprive of the medical facilities being given to them with the functioning of the Sub-Centre in village Aul.
