HC restrains Police from filing charge-sheet against owners of Anytime Fitness Gym

JAMMU, Nov 21: High Court has restrained Police Station Bahu Fort from filing charge-sheet in the FIR registered against Sahil Choudhary and Nitin Abrol, owners of Anytime Fitness Gym located in Narwal area.
The owners of Anytime Fitness Gym challenged the FIR No.280/2022 registered for alleged commission of offences punishable under Section 504 and 506 IPC read with Section 3(1) of the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
They, through Senior Advocate K S Johal and Advocate Surpreet Singh Johal, submitted before the High Court that they have been implicated in a false and frivolous case at the behest of respondents, who had been working with the petitioners as trainers in their Anytime Fitness Gym.
After hearing counsel for the petitioners, Justice M A Chowdhary issued notice to the respondents returnable within four weeks. Meanwhile, the High Court has directed that the investigating agency shall continue with the investigation but charge-sheet shall not be filed without the permission of the court.
