JAMMU, Sept 17: Srinagar Wing of the State High Court is resuming its work although from a makeshift accommodation from tomorrow.
In a notice issued by Suresh Kumar Sharma, Registrar General of the State High Court, it has been mentioned that Chief Justice M M Kumar has directed for resumption of work by the Srinagar wing of the High Court from makeshift accommodation at 5-Gupkar Road with effect from September 18 (tomorrow).
The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Ali Mohammad Magray as well as other Judges would start hearing fresh cases from the makeshift arrangement made by the State Government after the Chief Justice took up the matter with the Governor as well as Chief Minister.
Through the notice, the Registrar General has directed all the employees working in the High Court to report at 5-Gupkar Road tomorrow.
It is pertinent to mention here that High Court complex at Jehangir Chowk, Srinagar suffered extensive damage due to the floods and no time-frame can be specified at present for resumption of work from there.
