SRINAGAR, Nov 11: Jammu and Kashmir High Court today sought personal appearance of the Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), G N Qasba, in the court on Tuesday along with the details of the assets of erring officials of the Corporation.
A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice M H Attar and Justice Ali Mohammad Margay while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on the violations of Srinagar Master Plan directed the Commissioner SMC to appear before the court on Tuesday along with details of movable and immovable properties of the erring officials and officers of the Corporation.
As soon as the proceedings began today, the bench asked advocate Shah Amir, the Government advocate, about Advocate General, Mohammad Ishaq Qadri, who was not available in the court. But, the advocate could not give a satisfactory reply to the court.
“Because of the non-availability of the AG, the matter could not be considered,” the court observed and listed it on Tuesday (November 12).
