Srinagar, July 17: High Court today sought personal appearance of Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Srinagar for not filing reply in a case.
Court while seeking personal appearance of Commissioner SMC also said that perusal of records are required for effective adjudication of petitions as also there was no representation on behalf of the Commissioner SMC in the court.
Court meantime directed all the authorities to file their reply in the case. The case of the petitioners is they have been singled out from the zone of consideration for promotion to the next higher post of Junior Assistant while others have been promoted for the post in question.
“Even not only similarly situated persons but also those who are much junior to them have been promoted to the posts of Junior Assistants”, petitioners submit.
