HC staff to attend duties amid lockdown

SRINAGAR, Apr 25: Chief Justice Gita Mittal today directed that the court orders passed or being passed in listed cases shall be recorded in written and placed on with respective files and ordered all such orders be necessarily uploaded on the official website of the High Court.
In compliance to the directions of the Chief Justice, the Registrar Judicial Srinagar instructed all the bench secretaries of Srinagar wing of High Court to attend the court to perform the task as desired by the Chief Justice.
“In this respect, all the Readers, Research Assistants and Restorers of the concerned courts shall provide full assistance to the concerned Bench Secretaries”, reads the order of the RJ.
Incharges of all the dealing sections of the registry have been directed to attend the office for delivery of the files which are listed in the advance list to the court staff concerned in order to enable them to do the requisite work as desired by the Chief Justice. “However, Incharges of Dealing Sections are at liberty to attend the office on rotation basis with their assistants”, the RJ order said.
It may be noted here that the High Court is closed in view of lockdown announced by the Government and only emergency cases are being heard through video conferencing and no written order is being placed or recorded on the files till issuance of previous advance list.
