JAMMU, Mar 4: High Court today stayed the selection and appointment of lecturers in the discipline of Urology, Anesthesiology, Neuro Surgery, Anesthesia, Pediatrics Surgery Anesthesia and Dermatology.
This direction was passed in a petition filed by Dr Anuradha Bali and seven others seeking quashment of Advertisement Notice dated February 12, 2014 for being violative of J&K Medical Education Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules 1979 and also violative of J&K Civil Services Rules 2005 and Sub Rule (4) of Rule 4 of J&K Academic Arrangement Rules 2009.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, Principal GMC Jammu, J&K PSC and Commissioner Secretary GAD to file response within two weeks.
In the meanwhile, the Court stayed the selection/appointment of lecturers subject to objections from other side and till next date before the Bench.
