JAMMU, Mar 3: State High Court today stayed the selection of 633 Junior Engineers (Civil).
The order was passed by Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Mohsin Bhat appearing for Azhar Hussain Reshi and others, who challenged the selection of JEs.
“The petitioner has sought quashment of the Govt Order 62-PW(Hyd) whereby the private respondents have been appointed as Junior Engineers and also sought directions to the SSRB to carry out the selection process of 633 posts of Junior Engineers by formulating criteria, which has due sanctity of law”, Justice Rabstan observed.
While issuing notice to the respondents, High Court ordered that subject to objections from other side and till next date before the Bench selection/appointment of private respondents to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) shall remain stayed.
