In order to collect funds to be utilized for relief to the victims of Coronavirus infection, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to make contribution.
The decision was taken in a full court meeting held under the chairpersonship of Chief Justice Gita Mittal.
As per the decision, the Chief Justice and all Judges of the High Court will make a contribution of Rs 25,000 each. Similarly, all the District Judges of the UTs of J&K and Ladakh will contribute Rs 15,000 each and all Sub-Judges /Civil Judges (Senior Division) and Munsiffs/Civil Judges (Junior Division) will contribute Rs 10,000 and Rs 7500 each respectively.
High Court has also decided that all the Gazetted officers of the High Court Staff and Gazetted Staff of the Subordinate Courts may contribute Rs 5000 whereas all the Non-Gazetted staff of the High Court and Subordinate Courts may contribute one day’s salary.
It is worthwhile to mention here that this contribution will go a long way in combating this pandemic which is spreading its tentacles on rapid basis throughout the world.
