Srinagar, Feb 25: An employee of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) was killed, while another was injured in a mishap at a tunnel construction site in Uri.
During the construction work at NHPC Tunnel Phase II, two employees of HCC, Santoor Singh son of Badrinath Singh of Reasi and Mohammad Sharif Batla son of Mohammad Batla of Bimyar Boniyar, were injured.
Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Uri for treatment where Santor Singh succumbed to his injuries.
A police spokesman said a case has been registered.
