Srinagar, Nov 4: Encouraging and motivating people to prioritize their health, HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Delhi, organized a wellness walk at the University of Kashmir today.
The walk began at 8 a.m., commencing and concluding at the University of Kashmir’s Hazratbal campus.
Over 300 participants, including students, professors, and doctors from Manipal Hospital, joined this walkathon, along with notable figures such as SSP Traffic City Muzaffar Ahmed Shah, SDPO Hazratbal Showkat Shaib, SP Hazratbal Mashkoor Zarger, Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Khan and several others.
Dr. Shailendra Lalwani, HOD, Liver Transplant at HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Delhi, emphasized the significance of prioritizing one’s health and stressed the importance of simple lifestyle changes, such as maintaining a well-balanced diet, a healthy weight, and liver health care.
Dr. Anadi Pachaury, Consultant Surgical Oncology at HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Delhi, addressed the increasing number of cancer cases in India. He highlighted the importance of staying active and adopting a healthy lifestyle to enhance overall health and reduce the risk of severe diseases.
Dr. Vikram Batra, Consultant Urology at HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Delhi, underlined the significance of walking for kidney health.
He described it as a simple yet effective method to maintain kidney health, citing its ability to lower blood pressure, a major risk factor for kidney disease.
