HC’s direction on re-designation of FPF Computer Operators

JAMMU, Apr 25:High Court has directed the State through Principal Secretary, Forest Department and Director Forest Protection Force to furnish information on the outcome of proposal regarding re-designation of Forest Protection Force (FPF) Computer Operators with avenues of vertical progression within a period of six weeks.
When the writ petition titled Vikas Sharma and Others Versus State and Another came up for hearing before the High Court, Advocate G S Thakur, counsel for the respondents said that compliance report as per the previous directions of the Court has been submitted.
“As per the directions of the Court, the Director Forest Protection Force forwarded a proposal to the Administrative Department for re-designation of FPF Computer Operators and with avenues of vertical progression on March 29, 2012”, he said, adding “in pursuance of the observations of ARI and Trainings Department, revised draft recruitment rules are under the process of formulation and in the rules due care is being taken regarding career progression of the employees including the petitioners”.
“Once the rules are framed, the same will be placed before the competent authority for approval”, the counsel for the respondents said.
After hearing Advocate G S Thakur for respondents and Advocate W S Nargal for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan said, “since the respondents have already forwarded the proposal and the outcome of the proposal is awaited the respondents are directed to file outcome/status report regarding the proposal forwarded to the Administrative Department within a period of six weeks”.
