HC’s directive in land compensation case

JAMMU, Oct 9: In a land compensation case, High Court today directed the respondents to pay the amount within four weeks and held them also liable to pay interest at the rate of 10%.
The land of the petitioner was acquired by the respondents in the year 2011 and he has been denied compensation for which he is legally entitled.
After hearing Advocate Aditya Gupta for the petitioner whereas Deputy AG Neeru Goswami for the respondents and Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Baljeet Singh Pathania and CMO Rajouri Dr Yash Karsyal in person, Justice Tashi Rabstan directed that in default of the clearance of payment of compensation, salary of Director Health Services and CMO Rajouri shall not be released.
Justice Rabstan also directed Registry to supply the copy of this order to Chief Secretary for taking strict action against the concerned authority.
