JAMMU, Aug 25: In a petition filed by one Mohd Khanday, father of Lassa Khanday, who was killed under the garb of Kishtwar riots on August 10, 2013, seeking arrest of the eight private respondents, High Court today directed SSP Kishtwar and SHO Atholi to furnish status report of the case.
After hearing Advocate AH Bhat appearing for the petitioner, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notice to respondents and directed SSP Kishtwar and SHO Atholi to furnish status of the investigation in FIR No 17/2013 of Police Station Atholi. The High Court also directed SSP Kishtwar to ensure that no harm shall be caused to the petitioner.
