JAMMU, June 26: In a petition filed by one Ankush Singh Mankotia seeking direction to the respondents to consider his candidature under Resident of Backward Area (RBA) category in the process initiated by BOPEE of 2015 for admission to various Professional Courses, High Court has directed the BOPEE to keep vacant one seat in RBA category.
After hearing Advocate Vilakshan Singh appearing for the petitioner, Justice B S Walia directed the Chairman BOPEE to consider the prayer made by the petitioner in light of judgment delivered in case titled Surjeet Singh Bali Vs State of J&K as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one week.
In the meanwhile, one seat in RBA Category shall be kept vacant, High Court further directed.
