JAMMU, July 27: HDFC Bank, the second largest private bank in the country today opened two branches at Residence Road and Rehari. HDFC Bank has a network of over 2544 branches and over 9900 ATMs across the country.
The Residency Road branch was inaugurated by YV Sharma, president, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, while the Rehari branch was inaugurated by Dilbagh Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) in presence of large number of people, senior bank officials including Zubair Iqbal, vice president, cluster heads Iftikhar Ahmed, Sachin Mahajan and Showkat Nahvi.
The new branches will offer customers world class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as savings account, fixed deposits, current account, mutual funds, insurance, two wheeler loans etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Zubair Iqbal, Circle Head, HDFC Bank said that it is their privilege to serve the people of Jammu. He said that they are committed to provide state of the art services to the local populace and enjoy a long and mutually beneficial, relationship with them.
“Launching of two branches and 2 ATMs in a single day is a momentous occasion for their bank”, Iqbal said, adding, that they have now taken a big leap and demonstrated their commitment towards the State economy.
“The focus of the bank is to reach out to the large unbanked segments in the region and provide solutions and accessibility to funds”, he added.
