JAMMU, Dec 12: Horticulture Development Officer (HDO) Dansal Sandeep Sharma today chaired a review meeting under Phase – 4 of Back to Village Pogramme of Jammu & Kashmir Government, at Panchayat Ghar Kot Maira Lower in tehsil Khour of Jammu district.
The meeting was attended by members of the Panchayat including Sarpanch and Panchs, villagers besides representatives of different departments including Jal Shakti, Irrigation, Social Welfare, Revenue, Health and Power Development Department from tehsil Khour.
During the meeting, various issues which were put forward by the villagers of the Panchayat during B2V-4 Programme were discussed in detail. The Visiting Officer took feedback from various departments as well as from the local public about the progress of various issues like blacktopping of roads, non-functional of water pumps and improvement of electric transmission system put forward by the people, in earlier meeting.
In his address, Sandeep Sharma informed the public that the purpose of this programme is to monitor the progress of different works undertaken in the Panchayat and to redress the problems which the villagers are facing.
He said the feedback taken from the locals as well as different departments will be shared with the higher authorities to fast track the process of redressal of all the issues of the villagers by removing all bottlenecks and fixing responsibilities. “J&K administration headed by LG Manoj Sinha is committed to develop villages at par with urban areas and providing all basic facilities to the rural population,” the Officer added.
