Srinagar, Dec 29: The Administrator of GMC Srinagar and Associated Hospitals has issued an order for the suspension of Jameela Bano, the Head Assistant at Govt. A.M.T. School, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar.
The order, citing Rule-31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules-1956, states that Jameela Bano is placed under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry into her conduct.
The suspension comes in response to the concerned officer proceeding on earned leave without obtaining approval or permission from the competent authority, as outlined in the order.
It is worth noting that GMC authorities had previously issued strict guidelines regarding the process for availing leaves, including child care and extended leaves.
The guidelines emphasized the necessity of following the prescribed procedures for leave approval.
The authorities, cautioning against violations, specifically stated that extended leaves for medical reasons must be certified by the Standing Medical Board.
Additionally, the order directed the requisite verification for Child Care Leave.
