JAMMU, Aug 21: A blood donation camp was organized at Headmasters Salon & Spa here today.
All the preparations such as arrangement of beds, sanitation, refreshments, etc were made. A team of doctors and nurses from the Department of Blood Transfusion, Government Medical College, Jammu helped in conducting the camp under the leadership of Head of the Department, Dr. Vijay Sawhney.
The staff of salon, besides the people of the city enthusiastically participated in the camp. A total of 48 units of blood was donated by the donors.
The donated blood would be used for saving the lives of the injured and the sick. One of the doctors addressed the donors saying that the blood donation does not weaken the donators. The recovery takes place very soon.
