JAMMU, Oct 16: A free medical camp was organized at Bakshi Nagar here today for Special Children by a team of medical experts headed by Dr. Shilpa Gupta and Dr. Abhinav Gupta of the Health Foundation (Advance Paediatric) Centre, Jammu.
The main aim of the camp was creation of awareness of speech and language disorder in children, delayed speech and learning behaviour issues, delayed milestones and providing special education to prepare especially abled children for schooling and for writing skills through play-way method and other health related issues.
The Camp was inaugurated by C.P Gupta, Deputy Secretary (Retd.), Dr. Virender Mahajan, Roshan Bhan, Neelam, Umesh Sharma, Ravi Kant Gupta, Madhu Gupta and Sangeeta Gupta as chief guests.
More than 100 children with their parents visited the camp and were examined by medical experts who provided related technical guidance to the respective parents for further treatment of their children.
During course of the camp many Medical experts in their speeches expressed the need and importance of more such Centers in Jammu city.
