JAMMU, Sept 30: Shri Atam Vallabh Jain Clinic organized a health awareness and check-up camp at Sanmati Sadan, Bahu Plaza, Jammu, in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon, and Starmeds. The camp featured renowned specialists, including Dr. Gagandeep Chhabra, Director of Nephrology, and Dr. Amit Sahni, Senior Oncologist from Fortis, who provided consultations and raised awareness about kidney, prostate and cancer-related ailments.
Pardeep Jain, General Secretary of the organization, shared that they regularly conduct monthly artificial limb camps, providing free limbs and callipers to amputees and specially-abled individuals. This latest camp saw 212 individuals receive examinations, along with free blood, urine tests and ECGs.
Jain assured attendees that more camps will be held in the future, focusing on health promotion and accessibility. Dr. Chhabra emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet in preventing ailments, assuring that a team of specialists is always available for treatment at discounted rates for camp patients.
Dr. Sahni addressed the audience regarding cancer awareness, urging them to embrace a natural lifestyle and avoid processed foods, highlighting that prevention is better than cure.
The event concluded with Chairman, Shri Atam Vallabh Jain Clinic, Kimti Lal Jain expressing gratitude to the medical team from Fortis, including Dr. J.P. Singh and the staff from Starmeds Channi Himmat, as well as the community members who participated in the camp. Dignitaries such as Vishwa Mitra Jain, Vinod Jain, and others were also present, demonstrating the community’s commitment to health awareness.
