JAMMU, Sept 25: Health Department today warned unregistered dental clinics and directed them to expedite the registration process to avoid any action by the department.
According to a health official, amidst mushrooming growth of illegal private dental clinical establishments and increasing number of grievances of public against these establishments, a team of Health Department constituted by Director Health Services, Jammu conducted a surprise inspection in city and its outskirts.
During the inspection, eleven dental clinics were inspected by the team out of which eight dental clinics were found unregistered and two clinics were found locked. The proprietors/doctors present in the unregistered clinics were warned and directed to expedite the registration process urgently to avoid any further action under rules.
