RAJOURI, Nov 8: Block Medical Officer Kandi (Kotranka), Dr Iqbal Malik suspended a Health employee after he found a Health Sub Centre locked in Kandi area.
Reports said after receiving public complaints that Health Sub-Centre Chakpatli, Block Kandi (Kotranka) was closed for the last three days, BMO Dr Malik taking cognizance of the matter, visited the Health Centre to verify the complaint and found that the Centre was closed and none of the staff member posted in the institution was available. Some community members also complained that one FMPHW always remain absent and failed to provide basic healthcare.
When contacted, the BMO Kandi, confirmed that the Sub-Centre was locked and FMPHW namely- Farida Akhter has been placed under suspension
It is pertinent to mention here that the said Health Centre is run by only one Staff Nurse, the post of Senior Pharmacist and Male Multipurpose worker are lying vacant for the last two years. Most of the staff of Block Kandi has been attached in other Blocks, for which the BMO / CMO should be held responsible.
