DODA, Feb 18: The employees of Public Health Centre (PHC) Bharath and other health institutions of the Block Ghat staged protest in their respective hospitals.
The protestors expressed their resentment over the attack on their colleague and demanded that the Government should ensure safety of doctors and other paramedical staff working in different hospitals by deploying additional security.
They also demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits so that such incidents are not repeated again and warned to launch a district level agitation in case the police failed to take a stern action against the erring persons.
Meanwhile, District President JKMEF Mehboob Kraipak and spokesperson of NRHM Paramedical and Management Association Faizan Tramboo condemned the attack on the hospital staff and said that targeting hospitals and its staff is completely unacceptable and a serious violation of humanitarian law. They demanded immediate action against the miscreants.
