JAMMU, Aug 12: Health Mela organized by Shri Durga Dass Memorial Society and Directorate of Health Services concluded today at Thial.
Dr Ashok Sharma and his team conducted 110 operation of cataract in the said Mela. Shri Durga Dass Memorial Society provided all logistic support including boarding and loading to the patients and their attendants. These patients will be discharged from the Hospital on Monday.
During the Mela 40 patients of Gallbladder stone and 10 cases of Renal stone were deducted through ultrasonography and were referred to District Hospital Udhampur, Government Hospital Sarwal and Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, for getting operated.
The doctors examined, around 3000 patients and also provided free medicines.
Earlier, the Health Mela was inaugurated by Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Health, Horticultre and Floriculture and Harsh Dev Singh MLA Ramnagar, while the same was declared closed by BD Sharma Chairman Shri Durga Dass Memorial Society.
