REASI, Aug 9: Incessant and heavy rains today led to flash floods in some parts of the district, in which loss to livestock and road network has been reported.
According to official reports, were caught in flash flood and got buried in the debris flow at Bhagga Kotli area of Katra.
The cows of Parshotam Kumar, son of Prem Nath of Kotli Manotrian, went missing and later their carcasses were found buried in the debris of stones and mud.
The incessant rain also led to closure of Reasi-Sujandhar road due to landslide at Chourakote thus forcing suspension of vehicular movement on the road.
The administration is learnt to have pressed men and machinery for clearing the road and the work in this regard was going on till late evening.
Some interior roads constructed under PMGSY also suffered minor damages because of heavy rains.
