SRINAGAR, Apr 7: Heavy rains lashed Kashmir valley today while upper reaches received snowfall leading to drop in the temperatures.
Gulmarg and hills of Kashmir today experienced fresh snowfall. The snowfall led to drop in the temperatures across the region.

The Valley was lashed by heavy rains in the afternoon and at some places hailstorm damaged the flowers of the fruit trees.
Anantnag, Pulwama, Baramulla, Ganderbal, and Srinagar received light hailstorm and heavy rains today.
The Meteorological Department predicted more rains with a thunderstorm in some parts for the next three days in Kashmir.
Director Meteorological Department Sonam Lotus said that there is the possibility of more rains and light snow in hills of the Valley from this evening till next three days.
He also said the weather was likely to improve from April 11 onwards. After that, another spell is likely from 13-14th April.
