After a brief lull of a day, Pakistani Rangers today resumed heavy shelling and firing on the International Border (IB) in RS Pura sector targeting forward posts of the BSF and civilian areas.
The Rangers fired a burst at 6.35 pm in Abdullian.
At about 9.50 pm, they started firing with automatic weapons and resorted to shelling with 82mm mortars at Abdullian, Korotana Khurd, Mangral and Tube Well No. 5 areas, creating panic among the villagers.
The BSF was responding very effectively.
Exchanges were going on when the reports last came in but there was no report of any casualties on the part of BSF or civilians.
