Heavy snowfall likely to occur in parts of higher reaches of HP: Met Office

SHIMLA, Dec 9:
India Met Office has warned that parts of higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh will  receive heavy snowfall on December 11 and 12 as western disturbances would be active in the state from tomorrow onwards. The Met office said isolated parts of mid or higher reaches are likely to receive heavy rain and snowfall  on December 11 and 12 affecting normal lives.
The Met office has forecast widespread rain in mid  hills and rain and snowfall at many places in the foot hills and higher reaches.
Inclement weather would remain active in the state from December 10 to 14.   Minimum temperature was normal today in the state as Keylong was coldest with minus 4.5 degree Celsius, Manali recorded zero degrees, Bhuntar recorded two degree C each.
Chamba and Kalpa in Kinnuar was low at three degrees C, Sunderngar in Mandi 3.5 degrees C, Una five degrees C, Bilaspur and Solan 5.5 degrees C, Hamirpur six degrees C and Kangra 6.8 degrees C.  Mandi 7.2 degrees C, Dharamshala 7.4 degrees C, Palampur 7.5 degrees C and Nahan nine degrees C.  It was mainly dry today.
