Heroin recovered, accused arrested

UDHAMPUR, Jan 3: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, a patrolling party of Police Station Udhampur today apprehended one drug peddler and recovered five grams of contraband substance heroin from his possession.
The accused, identified as Abhishek Dogra alias Chichi of Lambi Gali, Udhampur, was apprehended near Sai Baba Mandir. During search, five grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and also registered a case FIR number 02/2021, under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is under process.
Meanwhile, in another success, Police Station Udhamnpur also recovered a stolen Scooty and arrested the accused.
The Scooty (JK14F-2357), belonging to Aman Sharma, son of Romesh Chander of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur at PS Udhampur, was stolen from outside his house and a case FIR No. 641/2020 U/S 379 IPC had been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
During the course of investigation, police party, headed by SHO Udhampur, Insp Vijay Singh Choudhary, zeroed in some suspects and on their disclosure, recovered the stolen Scooty from Shiv Nagar area of Udhampur Town and arrested the accused namely Gallu, son of Shafi of Devika, Udhampur.
