Heroin recovered, two peddlers held

JAMMU, Dec 9: In two separate cases, Jammu Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered an aggregate of 19.60 grams of heroin from their possession.
“During naka checking at village Rattian, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq rounded up a suspect who was on way from Langotian to Simbal Camp,” a police spokesman said.
He said on search, 4.60 grams of heroin was recovered from the accused identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Gaggi son of Baljeet Singh of Simbal Camp. “In this regard, a case FIR Number 166/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Miran Sahib and the accused arrested,” the spokesman added.
Similarly, he said, at another naka established at Kabir Colony by a team of Police Post Talab Tillo led by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo PSI Sonu Choudhary, police teams rounded up one suspect travelling in his car bearing registration number JK02CX-3510.
He said during search, 15 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused namely Reebak Singh son of Satveer Singh, resident of Gole Gujral (Talab Tillo Camp, Jammu).
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 147/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Nowabad and the accused arrested,” the spokesman added.
