JAMMU, Dec 28: Hindu Education Society Kashmir (HESK) held an impressive function at Gandhi Memorial College, Jammu campus, today to honour Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwa Karma University Gurugram , Haryana who has made outstanding contributions to the nation as a whole.
Addressing the function HESK, president Prof B L Zutshi said in recent years, it has been widely acknowledged that the Work-Integrated Dual Education model is an innovative approach to education that bridges the gap between employers, educators, and students. It combines classroom and work activities in a way that creates a powerful learning environment, he added. He highly acclaimed role of Nehru as VC of the Skill University.
Prof. Ashok Aima, former Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu, and Prof Veena Pandita, former Chairperson of the JKBOSE, were the guests of honour at the event. The event was attended by Prof. Verinder Rawal, general secretary, and Members of the Executive S.K. Raina, Prof. G.L. Koul, Virender Raina, M.K. Jalali, M.K. Bangroo, Prof. Savita Raina. A.K. Raina, M.K. Koul, Gulabi, and Ramesh Hangloo besides Principal of the College Mr Talashi.
During his address Raj Nehru expressed his respect and admiration for Prof B L Zutshi, President of Hindu Education Society Kashmir, who has been his teacher, and he viewed him as an inspiration to him. Moreover, he stated that he is an Alumni of Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar, which was established in 1990 in the post migration.
He stated that he feels extremely proud to be the founder of Shri Vishwakarama Skill University, because the University has made significant progress in such a short period of time that the Government has recognized their efforts and
awarded them the Good Governance Award for their efforts. In addition, he listened carefully to the problems that are being experienced on the Gandhi Memorial College campus, and he assured the Management of HESK that he would do something to diversify the course offerings on the campus. The skill development courses on the college campus are being included as part of his visit agenda.
