CJ unfurls National Flag at Jammu Wing

JAMMU, Jan 27: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh celebrated the 76th Republic Day yesterday and the main function was held in the High Court Wing Jammu wherein Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan hoisted the National Flag.
The event was attended by Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice Puneet Gupta, Justice Mohd Akram Chowdhary, Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal and Justice Rajesh Sekhri.
Besides, President High Court Bar Association, Jammu along with Executive Members of the Bar, Senior Advocates of Jammu, Assistant Solicitor General of India and other Government Advocates were also present on the occasion.
The Registrar General, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice besides officers and officials of the registry of main wing, Jammu Wing and Srinagar Wing of the High Court also participated in the event.
The contingent of Armed Forces played patriotic songs/tunes following unfurling of the National Flag and the Chief Justice distributed sweets among the members of the Armed Forces.
In Srinagar Wing, the celebrations commenced with unfurling of the National Flag by Justice Atul Sreedharan, who took salute at the March Past followed by playing of the National Anthem/patriotic tunes by the band.
The event was also graced by Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Judge, High Court of J&K and Ladakh. Besides, Mir Syed Latif, Member, CAT Srinagar Bench, Jaffer Hussain Beg, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar, Tasleem Arief, Registrar Vigilance, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Registrar Judicial Srinagar Wing, Tahir Majeed Shamsi, DSGI, Waseem Gul, President, Kashmir Advocates’ Association, officers of police and civil administration, law officers besides officers and officials of Srinagar Wing of High Court.
The event concluded with distribution of sweets among the police and CRPF officials.
Meanwhile, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committees Bandipora, Sumbal and Gurez and in collaboration with District Judiciary Bandipora organised mega event to celebrate 76th Republic Day in District Court Complex Bandipora.
Chairman DLSA, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, (Pr District & Sessions Judge) Bandipora unfurled the National Flag. Addressing the participants, he said, “the 76th Republic Day is a moment for us to honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, celebrate our achievements and reaffirm our commitment to a progressive and inclusive India”.
“Let this milestone inspire us to build a future that truly embodies the principles laid out in our Constitution”, he further said.
On the occasion sweets were distributed amongst the police officials, security persons & participants and appreciation certificates and momentous were also distributed among the organizers.
Among others, the function was attended by Additional District and Sessions Judge Sushil Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Iqbal Akhoon, Munsif Judicial Magistrate Amandeep Singh, CAO Rouful Mushtaq, District Information Officer Aadil Manzoor Wani, DySP DAR Ahmad Shafeeq, Prosecuting Officer, Assistant Prosecuting Officer, Bar President Maqsood Ahmad Bhat, and other concerned were present on the occasion.
The Tehsil Legal Services Committee R S Pura also celebrated Republic Day- with zeal and zest and its Chairman Ananta Raina unfurled the National Flag. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, she delivered a concise yet insightful speech, delving into the historical significance and importance of Republic Day.
