High reaches of HP experience snowfall

SHIMLA: High reaches of this hill state experienced light to moderate spell of snowfall and downpour in isolated places during the last 24 hours.
The Met Office recorded six cm fresh snowfall at Keylong district headquarters of Lahaul Spiti. High reaches of Manimahesh and Sachas pass of Chamba, Rohtang Pass and Kunzump pass of Lahaul Spiti, Lady of Keylong, Seven Sisters’ Hills and Goshal Hills reported fresh spell of snowfall, increasing the cold conditions in the state.
Baldwara of Mandi received 13 mm rainfall, followed by Dalhousie in Chamba 10 mm and Bharmour six mm, Baijnath in Kangra and Rampur in Shimla five mm, Bhuntar in Kullu four mm, Bijhai and Sundernagar three mm and Jubbal two mm.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was recorded at minus 6.2 degree Celsius, six degrees below normal; Kalpa in Kinnaur registered 0.7 degrees; Manali 0.8 degrees; Kufri four degrees; Bhuntar six degrees; Dalhousie and Chamba 6.9 degrees; Palampur seven degrees; Shimla 7.8 degrees; Solan 8.4 degrees; Sundernagar 8.8 degrees; Dharamshala 9.4 degrees, Kangra 9.8 degrees, Mandi 10.2 degrees, Una 12.5 degrees, Hamirpur 12.8 degrees, Nahan 13.5 degrees, and Bilaspur 14 degrees, respectively.
The Met Office has forecast rain or snowfall at isolated places in the high reaches and mainly dry weather in the rest of the state. (agencies)
