JAMMU, Nov 26: Terming the enormous voter turnout in the first phase of elections as satisfactory, National Conference (NC) general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that that all the ground reports and the inputs from reliable sources suggest that the people by and large have voted for NC and this polling scenario has risen hopes and expectations for the party that people in other poll bound parts of the State will also follow the trend in coming phases of election.
“The people who have cast their votes in favour of NC in the first phase of the elections has accelerated our hopes that people will bring NC back to power and this time with an absolute majority”, Sagar said.
He also said that the party is not only expecting a triumph in the Valley and Ladakh only but also an increase in its tally in the Chenab belt of Jammu region.
“Since the BJP has already exposed its intentions by seeking the revocation of article 370 and the anti-Kashmir policies of PDP and Congress party too are already known to everyone, the people of the State have realized that National Conference is the only option to choose for safeguarding the special identity and the interests of the State. This indicates the realization of the people that they came out in large chunk to vote for NC on Tuesday to protect the political identity and interests of the State”, he added.
Sagar assured the people that the party will not leave any stone unturned to guard their interests.
He said that PDP and Congress party’s contradictory, fabricated campaign against NC has completely failed because people did not pay any heed to the false propaganda of these parties when they came out to vote in droves.
