Hijacking plane in J&K impossible: Omar

SRINAGAR :  Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said hijacking any plane in Jammu and Kashmir was not possible because of very tight security arrangements.
Responding to media reports that Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) was planning to hijack a plane in Jammu and Kashmir, working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) said any such plan is not going to succeed.
In a tweet he said “Anyone who has flown out of Srinagar airport will tell you how unlikely the success of this “plan” really is.”
In another tweet he takes a jibe at Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and said he (Mufti)  rushed to Jammu in response to his call.
“Responding to my calling Mufti Syed the CM of Kashmir he has rushed to Jammu to hold a meeting there. Perhaps now a cabinet meeting also Jb?,” Mr Abdullah said.
Mr Omar has recently tweeted that NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah visited the border areas affected by Pakistani shelling while the government was missing. (AGENCIES)
