Himalayan Avian’s New year Calendar on Tawi Birds released

JAMMU, Jan 8: The Chief Wildlife Warden J&K Sarvesh Rai, today released The Himalayan Avian’s New year Calendar 2025 based on Tawi River Birds at NIC Hall Manda, Jammu. Programme was jointly organised by J&K Wildlife Protection Department Jammu and The Himalayan Avian. Fourteen photographs of migratory/ non-migratory birds including Red naped ibis, Red shank,Indian spot billed duck, great cormorant, Ruddyshelduck, Ferruginous pochard visiting at low lying areas of Tawi river beds in Jammu, have been incorporated in these 8 pages calendar. This is the result of hard work of bird photographer Guldev Raj, who has been keeping eyes on birds coming at this low lying area since 2014.
Sarvesh Rai congratulated him and appreciated the efforts made by The Himalayan Avian. He said that it is duty of all of us to save nature.
On the occasion, Regional Wildlife Warden Jyotsana also addressed the gathering. Also, CM Sharma, Darshan Mehra, Prof Ashok Kumar, Goutam Singh, writer Shekh Mohd. Kalyan, Dr. Taran Singh, Ritika and others were present.
