JAMMU, Aug 25: Kapil Sharma, COO, Himayat, Department of Rural Development, Government of Jammu & Kashmir today released Annual Activity Report 2020-21 of National Academy of RUDSETI for UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
National Academy of RUDSETI was established in April 2009 in response to an emerging need for capacity building and mentoring RUDSET Institute and Rural Self Employment Training Institutes being established by different Banks across the country. NAR works as the National Level Resource Organization for RUDSETIs and RSETIs and conducts research and development work in the field of Entrepreneurship Development. It designs and conducts training programs and also gets them assessed and certified by an independent team. It also undertakes project in Enterprise Promotion, Rural Development, Technology Transfer and imparting Human Resource Development.
NAR also acts as an advisory to policy makers relating to Enterprise promotion and Rural Development (for Government /NGOs/ other organizations/ Financial Institutions /Corporate Entities / Central Secretariat.
In order to improve the quality of the training, it had become necessary to have 3rd Party assessment of the trainings imparted to the candidates and for this purpose the National Academy of RUDSETI (NAR) has set up a separate Assessment & Certification vertical and accordingly office of the Assistant controller have been established across the whole country to take care of the aspect of 3rd party assessment.
The presentation was made by Rajat Otreja, Assistant Controller, NAR who gave brief account of activities undertaken in the UTs of J&K/Ladakh.
Speaking on the occasion Kapil Sharma said that this vertical has completed 138 batches of assessment successfully in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir as well as UT Ladakh and certified 2076 rural poor youth on successful completion of assessment in FY 2020-2021. He expressed pleasure that the Assessment and Certification Vertical of National Academy of RUDSETI for UTs Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh released 1st Annual Activity Report for FY-2020-21 today.
