Hindi Pakhwara concludes at Income Tax Office

JAMMU, Sept 17: A 15-day long Hindi Pakhwara organized by Income Tax Office concluded today.
During the Hindi Pakhwara celebrations, various competitions were organized.
On the concluding day, Neeru Sharma, chairperson, Official Language, J&K unit was the chief guest, while Anjali Sharma, Asstt Director, Doordarshan and SK Jain, Yoga Exponent and social reformer were special guests. The function was presided over by AK Thatai, Commissioner of Income Tax.
A brief account of notable progress made by Income Tax Office, Jammu in spreading and use of Hindi in office working was readout during the function.
The speakers on this occasion impressed upon the audience to make use of Hindi to the best possible extent.
A play was performed by artists of Anamika Arts, which depicted the plight of elderly people. The performance of the artists was highly appreciated by the audience.
Special items were performed by the employees of the department through skits, satires and poems to popularize the use of Hindi in official working.
In the end, RK Kakar, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu presented vote of thanks.
